Announcement of VAJRA Scheme for overseas scientists & researchers

  During Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention 2017, Prime Minister has  announced a scheme 'Visiting Advance Joint Research (VAJRA) Faculty' for active scientists and researchers working with overseas academic / research / industrial organizations to undertake high quality research in public funded Indian institutions & universities. The VAJRA provides an unique opportunity for accomplished researchers worldwide to collaborate with talented Indian researchers and to engage in research with the fastest growing major economy.  

            The salient features of the VAJRA scheme include (i) opportunities as an adjunct / visiting faculty for a period of 1 to 3 months per year to undertake high quality research ; (ii) a payment of  lump-sum amount of  US$ 15,000 in the first month of residency in a year and  US$ 10,000/- per month in the other two months to cover their travel and honorarium.Please click here for the Brochure
