Error in Washington Times report on January 11, 2002

(January 11) in a caption to the photograph of Home Minister Mr. L. K.
Advani has attributed to him a statement that “India was ready to accept the
line of control dividing Kashmir, abandoning claims made by India’s
Parliament to all the territory of the former Princely State”. This
attribution is incorrect. The Hon’ble Home Minister had reiterated India’s
position on the matter on the basis of the Resolution of the Indian
Parliament.
