Co-operation Group meeting

An Indian delegation led by Shri Ajai Vikram Singh, Special Secretary in the
Ministry of Defense came to Washington DC on April 11, 2002 for the first
meeting of the newly established Security Co-operation Group set up as part
of the bilateral arrangement for promoting defense cooperation between
Indian and the United States. At the conclusion of its visit, a Foreign
Military Sales (FMS) Agreement at the Government-to-Government level was
finalized on 17th April for the purchase of the AN/TPQ-37 fire-locating
radar system. |
