At the invitation of U.S. President Barack Obama, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh visited Washington, DC from November 22-26, 2009. During the visit, Prime Minister held bilateral talks with President Obama, met senior members of the US Cabinet, US Senators and Congressmen. Prime Minister attended a business event jointly hosted by the US Chamber of Commerce and the US-India Business Council where members of the India-US CEOs Forum was also present. Prime Minister addressed the Council of Foreign Relations. Prime Minister also addressed members of the Indian American community at a reception hosted by Ambassador Ms. Meera Shankar.
