Jaswant Singh writes to
Kyrgyz's Foreign Minister New
Delhi In connection with the situation in Southern Kyrgyzstan as a result of actions by terrorists in that region, External Affairs Minister has written to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Muratbek Imanaliev. He conveyed to Mr. Imanaliev that India as a country which has been a victim of terrorism over the years, cannot but express itself in full solidarity with the Government and people of Kyrgyzstan in this hour of grave concern to them. India strongly condemns any acts aimed at destabilizing states and their established governments. The origin of these extremist elements and terrorists and the camps in which they have been trained is well known. Cross border terrorism is a phenomena which should be combated most decisively by all civilized societies and governments. India has consistently opposed extremism and terrorism in all its forms. India fully supports the steps taken by the government of the Kyrgyz Republic in preserving its democratic and secular order. |
