CHINESE ADMINISTRATIVE DELEGATION CALLED
ON MOS (PP) SHRI K.M.R JANARDHANAN

A five member Chinese delegation led by Shri Feng Tiyun, Vice Minister, Ministry of Supervision of People's Republic of China called on Shri K. M. R. Janardhanan, Minister of State for Personnnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, here today.

Welcoming the delegation, the Minister expressed happiness that with the inception of MOU in February, 1992, lot of exchange of visits at various levels between the two countries had taken place. He observed that the visits have been fruitful and had strengthened the bonds of friendship between the two great countries. The Government of India to tackle corruption at all levels as stated in the National Agenda for Governance.

The Min ister also stressed that an Ombudsman type of institution called Lok Pal to enquire into complaints against high level public functionaries like Ministers, would be set up soon. He emphasised that these steps would help to achieve the goals of probity and accountablity in public life.
