the Ministry of External Affairs on January 01, 2000 For the ninth consecutive year, India and Pakistan today (1 January 2000) exchanged, through diplomatic channels, and simultaneously at New Delhi and Islamabad, the lists of nuclear installations and facilities covered under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack Against Nuclear Installations and Facilities between India and Pakistan. This Agreement was signed on 31 December 1988, and entered into force on 27 January 1991. Under the Agreement, the two countries are to inform each other on 1 January of every calendar year of the nuclear installations and facilities to be covered by the Agreement. The first such exchange of lists took place on 1 January 1992. |
