flag hoisting ceremony on
Independence Day, August 15, 2009
will be held at 10:00 AM
at the
Embassy Residence
2700 Macomb Street, Washington, DC 20008
This would be followed by Ambassador Meera Shankar reading President of India's
message, a brief cultural programme and refreshments
Indian nationals and friends of India are cordially invited to the function.
Invitees are requested to assemble
at the Embassy Residence by 9.30 AM and please bring a photo ID.
The Embassy Residence is situated close to
Cleveland Park Metro (on Red Line). Parking: arrangements for complimentary valet parking have been made for a limited number of vehicles on first-come-first-served-basis.
