Indo-US experts Conference on polio and public health policy held in New Delhi

The Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss chaired the Indo-US-Round Table Conference on Polio and other Public Health Issues held today in New Delhi. Presentations by experts from both India and USA on Indo-US Cooperation on emerging and re-emerging infectious Diseases and Disease Surveillance and on Collaboration in Environmental and Occupational Health, were made at the Conference. Discussions at the round Table Conference covered issues relating to Polio, Emerging and re-emerging infectious Diseases and Disease surveillance including Measles, HIV/AIDS, Human and Avian Influenza, Tuberculosis, Contraception and Reproductive Health, Maternal and Child Health, Environmental and Occupational Health, Vision Research, Vaccine Development, Field Epidemiology and Polio Eradication.

A Press Conference was addressed by the Union Minister for Health & Family Welfare Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss along with the experts of the US, Department of Health and Human Services regarding the deliberations at the Conference.
