Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum
The Indo-U.S. Science
& Technology Forum has been registered as a society with the office of
the Registrar of Societies in New Delhi on June 23, 2000.
The name of the Society
shall be "Indo-U.S. Science & Technology Forum".
The registered office of
the Forum shall be located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and
is temporarily situated at Technology Bhawan, New Mehrauli Road, New
Delhi-110016.
The aims and objectives
of the Forum include:
- to
facilitate and promote the interaction of government, academia and
industry in India and the United States in Science & Technology
and other related areas.
- to
focus on issues of common concern and activities of mutual benefit,
while exploring trends in Science & Technology.
- to
create a comprehensive electronic reference source for Indo-U.S.
Science & Technology cooperation.
- to
provide electronic exchange and dissemination of information and
opportunities in Indo-U.S. Science & Technology cooperation.
- to
commission studies, reports and papers.
- to
promote in scientific research and development and transfer of
technology.
- to
facilitate and promote joint collaboration projects and programs.
- to
organize workshops, seminars, symposia courses, training programs and
other types of activities considered beneficial for the goals of the
Forum.
- to
establish, or cause to be established Indo-U.S. centers of excellence
at places in India.
The
Forum will be managed with an institutional framework with independent and
autonomous authority, responsibility and flexibility for dynamic operation
so that competent people and scientists within India and the U.S. as well
as expatriate Indians abroad and others are encouraged to participate in
the activities of the Forum.
